Nature-Based Outdoor Pediatric Occupational Therapy in the Heart of the Rockies
Becoming an Occupational Therapist has been an exhilarating journey. When I made the decision to return to school in 2014, I had no idea of the vast opportunities awaiting me in the field of Occupational Therapy. Looking back today on my path as a clinician, I am deeply grateful for the mentors, peers, supervisors, and diverse clinical environments that have shaped me into the clinician I am today.
This realization has inspired me to embark on a new adventure in entrepreneurship. It’s time to embrace a new challenge and take a leap of faith.
Now residing in Colorado, surrounded by the majestic mountains, I’ve discovered a profound love for the outdoors. This affection extends beyond my personal enjoyment; I am driven to make nature accessible to everyone. My aspiration is to introduce children to the myriad benefits of nature and not only what we can gain from it, but also what we can give back. Hence, I am launching “Heart of Nature OT” – a nature-based outdoor pediatric occupational therapy practice. By stepping beyond the confines of traditional clinics and embracing the great outdoors as our therapeutic space, we aim to provide an enriching experience for all.
More on that to come.
